Aquardens Thermal Park, the largest in Italy, and the renowned Arena di Verona Foundation announced an innovative collaboration on July 9, 2024: opera in the sauna. For the first time ever, opera, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has been adapted to be performed in a sauna, creating an unprecedented sensory experience.

In Aquardens' new sauna theater, spectators enjoyed an immersive artistic performance inspired by the famous opera “Carmen,” exactly 150 years after its first performance. This unique 12-minute reinterpretation promises to engage the audience through a fusion of opera and sauna rituals.

Sauna masters with large colorful fans replaced traditional fabrics and towels to transport viewers to an atmosphere of times gone by.

The management of Aquardens and the Arena Foundation expressed great satisfaction and a shared desire to offer unique experiences through this collaboration.
